a warm welcome: the pizza night

The weekend began on Friday with a welcome dinner that immediately made guests feel at home. Around 40 close friends and family, all traveling from abroad, gathered at Villa Apparita to enjoy a relaxed and joyful evening.

The dinner took place at sunset on the rolling hills of Pienza, offering breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside. The Pizzaioli Itineranti prepared fresh pizzas on-site, accompanied by craft beer and spritz. It was the perfect opportunity for guests to reconnect, share laughter, and savor a taste of Italian tradition.

THE WEDDING DAY: AN INTIMATE AND EMOTIONAL CEREMONY

Saturday marked the centerpiece of the weekend. Villa Apparita served as the preparation venue for both the bride and groom. Djamila prepared with her bridesmaids in one of the villa’s charming apartments, while René enjoyed a relaxed morning by the pool with his groomsmen.

The symbolic ceremony was conducted in English, creating a shared moment for all attendees. The exchange of vows took place against the stunning backdrop of Pienza and the Val d’Orcia’s iconic landscape. The decor, designed by Criluflower, featured pastel shades of blue, pink, lilac, and yellow, with wildflowers arranged naturally and spontaneously to perfectly complement the setting and embody Djamila and René' s fresh and delicate personalities.

A POOLSIDE APERITIF AND AL- FRESCO DINNER

Following the ceremony, guests gathered poolside for an aperitif accompanied by live jazz manouche music, setting a sophisticated yet relaxed tone.

Dinner was served in the villa’s inner courtyard beneath a starry sky, adding an extra layer of enchantment to the evening. A long imperial table, adorned with pastel tones, fresh wildflowers, and exquisite details, left the guests in awe. The setting perfectly combined elegance, warmth, and authenticity, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

A SWEET AND CREATIVE END OF THE EVENT

One of the evening’s highlights was the couple’s interactive show-cooking. Djamila and René decorated their wedding cake together, a mille-feuille topped with fresh berries. This symbolic and personal touch delighted their guests, making the celebration even more special.
