Tonnara di Marzamemi, Marzamemi

Tonnara di Marzamemi is based in the Southernmost part of the island, a couple of hours far from Catania’s airport. This wonderful venue is located is the center of the same name small village, well-known for its main square overlooking the seaside, its colorful doors and the blue chairs of the cute and local restaurants.

Tonnara di Marzamemi was a tuna fishery that has been turned into a wedding venue with a huge capacity, perfect for hosting big numbers of guests but also groups of people who want to be accommodated on site.

This unique place overlooks the main square of the village; entering its main big door, you can arrive in the courtyard, usually used for celebrating symbolic marriages. Upstairs on the terrace, you can enjoy the most beautiful view in which the lights of the village and the seaside mix with each other, creating a breathless sunset view! This spot is perfect for enjoying Sicily colors and vibes while wedding guests are tasting delicious typical food. The indoor space and the main part of the ancient tuna fishery too, is the area usually used for the reception.

Commenda di San Calogero, Siracusa

Commenda di San Calogero is a historical villa full of poetry and unique corners.

The first time we saw this place, we literally felt in love with its beautiful gardens and with the corn field having the blue sea as skyline.

Commenda di San Calogero tells about Sicily in each small detail; its blue doors, its majolicas, its exotic plants in the garden, the heat, everything lets you feel the SIcilian vibes. This venue usually hosts both big events and intimate ones: with about 25 beds on site, it can accommodate the closest family of the newlyweds in its Sicilian style rooms and stunning receptions in the main courtyard or in the carob grove behind the villa. All its spaces perfectly match different wedding flows and guests numbers: planning a wedding here it’s pure magic! Without forgetting the possibility to celebrate the symbolic ritual in the corn field.

Villa Igiea, Palermo

This luxury hotel was an ancient Sicilian villa which currently represents one of the most refined wedding location in Sicily. Close to Palermo and many meters above the sea level, it has such a spectacular view!

Strengths of this venue are surely the proximity to the sea and to Palermo’s airport (about 30 minutes), its huge capacity and number of rooms on site (about 100 between suites and standard ones).

Borgo del Carato, Siracusa

Borgo del Carato is less than one hour far from Catania’s airport and it is literally surrounded by the Sicilian countryside. It was an ancient typical baglio, characterized by the simplicity of Sicily and currently turned into a farmhouse with about 25 rooms and beautiful spaces for a wedding party!

Borgo del Carato is perfect for small and intimate destination weddings, during which guests can enjoy a visit in the stunning Palazzolo Acreide village, a tour in the beautiful Ortigia and many of the activities that this area offers.

La Chiusa Country House, Siracusa

This old masseria has been renovated in such a refined way, by turning an old building into a design venue for weddings and events, giving importance to the charm and the details of Sicily tradition. Surrounded by carob and olive groves, La Chiusa is your place if you want to be in the middle of nowhere and if you want to enjoy the silence and the truly countryside vibes.

Perfect for not too much big groups, it offers accommodation for about 15 people and outdoor spaces to let you experience a wedding in the very heart of Sicilian land. If you like the masseria’s style and the whitish buildings, you should visit this place!
